Gayatri Devi Pandit Memorial College is a four-year old degree college located in a remote part of Himachal Pradesh, India. Majority of the students are girls, who are not able to attend other colleges, which are too far from this area. Enrollment for 2002 and 2003 is expected to exceed 100 students!

College has plenty of land to grow and to build additional classrooms. Because of the growing enrollment, an URGENT need exists to build at least six additional classrooms, one library, one computer lab and one office for the Principal.

This is a large project and to fill this urgent need many small donations from many people will certainly help accomplish this goal in a timely manner. Regardless of the amount of your donation to this college (VIDHYA MANDIR) you will help needy students, particularly girls, get a college education, better their lives and contribute in the economic development if India.

You can help in this noble cause by:

Donating to build one classroom. Donation to build one classroom is $2,000/= (US Dollars) or Rs. 100,000/= (One Lakh Indian Rupees). In appreciation and recognition of your donation to build one class room, a marble slab engraved with the name and address of the donor (or any other name the donor chooses), will be permanently placed on the front wall at the entrance to the class room.
Establishing a permanent scholarship in the name of your near and dear one, for one needy student per year. Donation for such scholarship is also $2000/=(US Dollars) or Rs.100,000/=(Indian Rupees)

This will be a permanent reminder of your generosity to the college for many generations to come.
